Vector  (n) vec·tor  [vek'ter]

There are 2 types of 2D Graphics, Vectors and Bitmaps.

Vector Graphics are objects that are defined by mathematical equations rather than pixels, so they always render at the highest quality. Their files store the lines, shapes and colours that make up an image, while Bitmap images stores the pixels only.

Vector images may be scaled to any size without losing their sharp quality.
